Over two years ago, Lisa suggested that she would like to set a goal to do the 5 K "Race for the Cure." At that time we set it as a fitness goal and went down last year to walk. It was so much fun that we had to do it again this year. But this year's walkers included Bryce, Sara and Eric.

This is a huge event with this year's estimated number of participants at over 17,000. As we walked the 5 K course, we could see people filling the road to the horizon in front and in back.
At the end, there was a Survivor's Cafe where all survivors were given hats, food, pins, and flowers. We then marched around the buildings in a parade to the stairs at Gateway Mall where we lined up for a photo. Bad picture of me, but that's me in my pink hat and survivor shirt, lined up with other survivors.

It has been a fun day. The only bad thing was that Bryce got a blister on the bottom of his foot. We'll be getting him some new shoes.

yaay! yay for us! yay for boobies!
I'm sure glad you're a survivor. I would have missed out on a very good friend. Luv ya.
SO cool that you were able to do that with your family!!!
