Happy Pioneer Day!

It's been 27 years since we lived in Utah and celebrated Pioneer Day Utah style. This morning started with a one mile walk (most people ran, but we just sauntered) with Lisa, Cody, Lee and Sara down at Willow Park. I wore my trek outfit in honor of the day. Of course it was nothing compared to our 45 mile trek two years ago. On that one I wore my bonnet and skirt and apron the whole time.

From there we had a ward Primary parade and breakfast at the bowery. Bryce flipped some really great pancakes (huge and golden). There was a great crowd there. Sara and I chatted with ward members and tried to learn a few more names.

Later today we're having a Dutch oven feast with our family and a few extras. Bryce is excited to try out our patio downstairs. He is planning to hook up a misting cooler around the deck. That should cool things down nicely. We're expecting 90's today.

Looks like a fun day. I have never celebrated Pioneer Day Utah style but I imagine it is awesome. You guys are the best.
