Ok, so the Aggies didn't win the football game, the rain poured down during the game and the family had to leave, but we had an absolutely fabulous homecoming family day. It's tradition in our family to go to the parade together, have breakfast on Main Street and cheer for EVERY entry in the parade. Now I'm not talking about a little clapping, I'm talking about big cheers and whoops and claps. That's the best way to get people to throw candy for the kids, and other fun stuff. Last year it was frisbees and ice cream in little tubs. This year it was bags of cheese curd or chips and salsa.
Before the parade starts, it's a bit chilly, so we wrapped up in blankets while we waited. We also had yummy muffins and juice and tapioca pudding.
It's kid cuddling time - and a good way to keep big people warm too.

After the parade, it was off to help Lisa and Cody move. The kids thought the mattress in the living room propped up on the couch was a great slippery slide. And Lisa and Cody provided pizza for the helpers.
Then there was the game afterward, and a great dinner. Ahh, a great family day.
