Painting party

Today we had a painting party. We invited our family to come and help us, and had Lisa and Cody and their kids here. We made some great headway and had some fun too, and believe it or not, most of the paint did wash out of Lee's hair. The jury is still out on his father's hair.
We were able to get primer on the whole small bedroom, including the ceiling and closet, and some primer on the walls in the family room. Our builder is coming to hang doors soon, and then we'll be able to get to the other walls. Right now the doors are leaning up against the walls. He did stop by to apologize, he had truck trouble this week. But, we made great headway in the one room. All it needs now is paint on the walls. The closet and ceiling are finished. I'll be able to move a bunch of the storage stuff from the family room and Bryce's library into the closet and then we'll have space to work in the family room. You can see here that it's pretty full of stuff.
I got these sets of drawers from a guy on "Freecycle." They are in really good shape, but were dirty, and pink with white ribbons just won't work for Bryce's shop. Now they're becoming Bryce's workbench. He will add a bench top, and some more trim at the bottom to make it all sturdy. I think the transformation from pink to green is amazing - and it was a quart of mismatched paint from Lowe's that cost us only a buck.
Don't you love that white ribbon - just the thing for a man's shop! If there is one color that Bryce will NOT put up with in his shop, it's PINK!
The drawers have white knobs that will go back on after the paint cures.
Lee wanted to help really bad! He gets that from his Dad, I think.
