November 6 Puerto Vallarta,
I’ve written my journal out in detail, so this blog is just mostly a pictorial view of our trip. At Puerto Vallarta, we took a land tour including a Mexican Fiesta. It cost us $5.00 after the lady put the bird on my shoulder. They don’t ask if you want to, but it was for a good cause – they were going to protect the birds.
It was fun taking pictures at these statues on the bay at Vallarta, until Dad fell as he was trying to back up and take a picture of me. Luckily, he just skinned up his elbow.
They learn to sell at a very young age. Diane wished later that she had bought the doll because we didn’t see anything quite as sweet later. Everyone calls this church a cathedral, but our guide told us it wasn’t because it doesn’t have a bishop.
Here’s how Cacao grows – on pods along the trunk of the tree from top to bottom. And, don’t we love it! On the right is a cinnamon tree. We were able to pick of a little twig and get a lovely smell.
At the end of our tour we were treated to a Mexican Fiesta including a dancing horse and a piñata. Bryce got invited to participate in the last dance.
