Painting - finally

We've been putting off painting the walls in the family room, partly because we simply haven't had time, but also partly because we expected it would take a lot more time than it actually did. That crazy ceiling took four gallons and about three days to finish. Finally Saturday we took the plunge. We decided to get up, put on our painting clothes, eat breakfast and get started. We finished the first coat before 11:00 in the morning, in under two hours, using . Of course our success in the morning gave us the enthusiasm to do another coat in the afternoon. We have one wall left and it will be a different color - an accent wall. Then of course we have lots of door and floor molding, plus painting that and the doors. Last will be flooring, which may take until next spring since we're doing a wedding in the next couple of months.

Interesting how the walls look so dark in this picture. You can tell from the other pictures that it really isn't that color. Oh, and the wall behind Bryce will be the accent wall. Tune in for later for that color.
