Tomatoes

Lisa cooked up some fruit for fruit rollups yesterday and when she poured it out on the trays of her dehydrator, it came out to be exactly the right amount she needed to fill all of her trays.
Today, Lisa and I picked the tomatoes in our gardens in preparation for canning them this afternoon. I washed fourteen quart jars and she brought up seven from her house. That's the number we each hoped to can this year. We figured if we had extra tomatoes left, we'd cook up some spaghetti sauce for dinner or something. We filled all 21 jars. Guess how many tomatoes were left?

We got the tomatoes in the jars in about two hours. Lee slept through the whole thing, waking up just as I was cleaning up the table. Anna walked around and played and then sat in the high chair and had a big snack. It was a great canning experience for all of us!
