And carpet too!

We had the young men come over Wednesday night after mutual and spend about ten minutes moving the furniture out of our living room. (The flooring guys will move the piano.) We had already emptied the bookcase and I emptied out all my music from the music cabinet, so it was short work for them. We spent Thursday evening in a very empty house, excited about the carpet coming Friday (today). Here's what it looked like "before" with no furniture. You can see where Max's favorite lying down spot was - in front of the couch.

I was excited about it all day. Bryce was out on the road today to Anamoose, and got a phone call from our installer, Travis. We have a problem. The Carpet supplier sent the wrong color. So this is how we'll live for a few days until probably Wednesday, when the right color is sent from Bismarck. Thank goodness the salesman caught the error before it was installed! That would have been much worse. The carpet that they sent was almost white.

Watch out for those tack strips!

These last two are pictures of the other, less empty rooms that are filled with furniture from the rest of the house. That's what we're living in while we wait.

Just be glad that you don’t have your house crammed like that all the time. New carpet is so nice. When we got ours at my parents house I picked a new book and found where the sun hit the floor and read my book and rolled as the sun moved. It is the best way to enjoy new carpet even if you do feel some what like a cat.
