Boris

Last night we gave our fifth performance of Boris Godunov with Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theater.  We have one more matinee next Friday.  I must say that this has been a delightful experience, and I'm sure that the one who has had the most fun is Bryce.  He not only enjoys performing, he loves hanging out with the kids and the other members of the cast backstage.  He visits with the principals that many of us are afraid to talk to.  He jokes with the cast and crew  after the scene is finished "Rats, he got away again!"  He plays up to the public when we go outside after the shows.  Last night, in his amazing Patriarch costume, he was asked by several people to be in pictures either alone or with them.  One lady got a bearded kiss right in the middle of the photo. It has been fun to have family and friends come to see us.  We appreciate that so many made the effort to come.  Slava, slava slava!!
The kids love Bryce best of all.
He's the most intimidating guard of all, but also pretty darn cute!
Here's three of the Russian Peasants.
And of course the very austere and commanding Patriarch (who is really a ham in disguise.)
