Graduate!

It was graduation day on Saturday!  Bryce got to march in his fancy new duds at the head of the line with the faculty.  We have a new bagpipe band that led the procession.

And here is Sara with the College of Agriculture.

The faculty sat together behind the speakers.
Here is the College of Agriculture standing to receive their recognition as graduates.  After all the colleges stood and were congratulated, the band started playing "The Scotsman."  Eric and I were both kicking ourselves that we didn't get it on video.  It was rather unexpected and so fun to see all the graduates doing the arm movements and singing along.
Dad and daughter in their regalia.  Bryce was so thrilled to be able to march with Sara.  All of our kids were Aggies, but this is the first time he was an Aggie faculty member.

Eric congratulating Sara on her accomplishment.  It will be his turn next year.
I think Eric is proud of his wife.
 Dad, grad and Mom
We just had to stop and take pictures by the pretty yellow Forsythia.
Awww, cute couple, holding hands and heading back to the car.
Anna tried on Grandddad's hat while we waited for the graduates to come in.  I was amazed at how well this close up picture turned out.  Look at those eyes (and not even red from the flash!)
Katie is dressed appropriately for the occasion, but a bit sleepy.  She slept peacefully in Grandpa's arms through almost the whole thing and when awake, she was just pleasant.
Lee and Anna waiting for the graduation ceremony.
At the Kent Concert Hall College of Ag ceremony.
At the ceremony Katie was a doll.  She didn't get fussy until the very end.  Grandpa didn't wear his duds for this part, since he's technically in the College of Education, not Agriculture.
Right after this picture, Sara walked over and got a hug from her professor.  But it went by so fast, nobody got a picture.  He didn't hug anyone else that we saw.  Sara said it was because he was her meat lab prof and there were only eight in the class so he knew her well.
Congratulations Sara!  We're so proud of you.
Giving "awesome" Grandpa a hug.  Lee said that Grandpa got to wear a funny hat because he's so awesome, and Sara because she's "grajurating."
The nieces and nephew with the new graduate.
Lisa and kids dressed up in their Aggie gear in honor of the day - including blue hair bows.
