Homecoming!

We have a family tradition when it comes to USU Homecoming.  We go to the parade.  But, we don't just go.  We go early enough to set up a space and have breakfast.

 This year, Lisa made these AMAZING cinnamon rolls.  The orange cooler had HOT water for hot chocolate, and there was Cozy Shack pudding cups (rice or tapioca) plus orange juice or apple juice boxes for kids.

 Grandpa entertained the kids while we waited for the parade to begin.

 

Of course we all wore our Aggie gear. 

 Usually it's a bit chilly on Homecoming Parade morning.  Anna decided a good spot was cuddled under our Aggie blanket.

 Soon she was happy to welcome her cousin Lucy.

 Today's game was a "White Out" and so Lisa and Sara got these special White Out shirts for $3.00 each at the sale on campus.

 Grandpa enjoyed snuggling with kids.  I think he got a chance with all the girls.

 Anna and Lee were cozy and warm once we got sweatshirts on underneath their shirts.

 It didn't take long for Katie to figure out how to collect the candy that was being thrown.  She watched carefully for pieces and went running whenever something landed on the road, even if it was way down the street.

 But her favorite thing to do was to dance to the music.  Too bad this isn't a movie.  She had some great moves.

We cheer for EVERYONE at the parade, "even the Republicans" as Bryce says.  Our enthusiasm usually nets a good supply of goodies thrown at us.  This year we got the usual large supply of candy, plus a chicken sandwich, a bag of chips, three bags of white cheese curds, a couple of little footballs and about five T shirts.  Not a bad haul.  But the fun we have is the most important part.  Yep, we love our homecoming parade tradition.  We sure missed Matthew and Kathy and their families.
