Something new

When you move to a new house, your furniture doesn't always fit.  That was the case with our old kitchen table and chairs.  It was OK, but just a bit too big for our kitchen.  I've been wanting to change it ever since we moved in, but many other things took priority.  Finally, now that it has been more than three years, we bought a new kitchen table and six chairs.  This is the view of it at its smallest.  It has a leaf that stores in the table and on Sunday we had it out with a big Halloween tablecloth.  Bryce says it's his birthday present, but really it's my Christmas.  :)  The table is solid Asian hardwood, and the chairs are well built and heavy.  Today I put felt pads under the feet to protect our floor and make them slide easily.

Awesome! That reminds me, we'll probably add some felt pads to the chairs in our new dining set. ;)The chairs like to squeal on the tile.
